A driver who had parked in a spot reserved for the disabled at Larnaca Hospital was on Thursday fined €500, Larnaca traffic police spokesman Haris Hadjiyiasemi told philenews.
It said the man had pleaded not guilty, telling the court that he had taken his mother to hospital and had parked in the spot reserved for the disabled because she could not walk.
But the Hadjiyiasemi noted that the defendant’s car did not have disabled stickers allowing him to park in specially reserved areas and he was fined.
