Hundreds of pupils in Larnaca district have been affected by a work stoppage called by associates of the Larnaca bus company Zenon.
A total of 29 routes have been cancelled, leaving pupils and their parents scrambling to find alternative transport.
Zenon bus company said that the company is unable to pay associates because it had not received the necessary funds from the Transport Ministry.
It clarified that the strike concerned associates and not employees.
