Knife in public kindergarten pupil’s bag alarms parents

Parents were alarmed this week after a public kindergarten student in Limassol’s Germasoyia area took out a knife from his school bag and began showing it off to other classmates.

This is what Philenews reported on Wednesday, adding that the father of another young one who goes to that kindergarten reported the incident to police.

The student had told his father his classmate took out the knife from the bag and started showing it to all other young ones in the room.

At the same time, another student reportedly informed the teacher about the knife which she took away from the child’s hands.

Following the complaint police officers started taking statements from all involved.

Philenews was told the father of the child with the knife said he had put it in the bag with the intention to cut a loaf of bread he had bought for him. And that he had allegedly forgotten it there.
