A 20-year-old man, who was stopped by policemen yesterday Tuesday due to speeding on the highway and for driving under the influence of alcohol will today appear before the Nicosia District Court.
According to the Police the man was driving at 187 khm/h instead of 100 on the Limassol-Nicosia highway.
An initial test showed that he had been drinking and recorded a blood alcohol level of 59μg, instead of the allowed limit of 9μg.
The young man was charged in writing and is expected to appear before a court today.
