Weak low pressure is affecting the area while a relatively cold air mass is expected on Tuesday.
On Monday, there will be intervals of locally increased cloud. Temperatures will rise to 23 C inland, 20 C on the west coast, around 21 C on the remaining coasts and 15 C in the mountains.
Tonight will initially be partly cloudy but will gradually become mainly cloudy at intervals and isolated showers or thunderstorms are forecast, particularly in the west and north. Locally, in the south and east coasts, as well as the interior, there will be patchy fog and low cloud.
Tuesday will be partly cloudy and at intervals cloudy, with local showers and isolated thunderstorms, Snow or sleet is forecast locally, in the higher Troodos peaks. In the evening, the weather will gradually improve.
On Wednesday and Thursday there will be intervals of mainly fine weather and intervals of cloud while at intervals there will be isolated showers with the possibility of isolated thunderstorm, as well as snow or sleet at intervals in the higher Troodos peaks.
There will be a noticeable drop in temperatures on Tuesday to below the seasonal average, remaining at the same levels after that.
