A hunter’s association has sounded the alarm over poison that has been found in various places in the Akamas and urged all hunters to be particularly careful.
The Koloni Refugees Hunting Association said that poison has been found on Monday in the countryside between Neo Chorio and Androlikou, between Arodes and Inia, between Akoursos and Peyia, as well as other areas frequented by hunters.
Their warning was reproduced by the Cyprus Hunters Party which queried whose job it was to take action as the police was turning a deaf ear, the Game Service failing to act and environmental organisations have said it is not their responsibility.
