The Game Service has fined a hunter €2000 for hunting illegally in Peyia, the Cyprus News Agency has reported.
It said that the out of court fine was issued when the hunter was caught hunting with two hunting dogs in a period when hunting is prohibited,
The 38 year old was spotted hunting with his two dogs in Kalamas area of Peyia Municipality by game wardens.
His hunting rifle was confiscated and he was issued an on the spot fine.
