In a strict letter to Ministers, Deputy Ministers and secretary generals of Ministries, House Speaker Annita Demetriou asked them to take measures so that only the necessary number of people will attend the meetings of committees and these people should be officials who will have something to add on the essence of the discussion.
Demetriou noted that it has been noted that Ministers or Deputy Ministers usually attend House Committees with a large number of officials and other employees, something that is deemed unnecessary. So, she urged them to go through the each time subjects to be discussed and then decide the number and level of the officials who will accompany them.
