During a session behind closed doors, the Larnaca-Famagusta Criminal Court found a man guilty of sexually abusing his 11-year-old granddaughter.
According to the findings, between December 2020 and July 2021, the man was raping his granddaughter in areas inside and outside his house. The girl’s statement was deemed credible regarding everything she went through during that eight-month period.
The court will reconvene on 23 July to hear the defense’s plea for mitigation of the sentence. In the meantime the man will remain in custody.
