Government signs MoC with CING, CSMM to support Diaspora Cypriots

Presidential Commissioner Fotis Fotiou, the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics (CING) and the Cyprus School of Molecular Medicine (CSMM) on Monday signed a Memorandum of Cooperation aiming to enhance relations and support Cypriots of the Diaspora as well as children of the enclaved.

A press release also said that the Memorandum covers activities of the parties in fields of mutual interest, to support Cypriots of the diaspora and the children of the enclaved.

As well as activities of the parties and the World Federation of Overseas Cypriots (POMAK), the International Coordinating Committee – Justice for Cyprus (PSEKA) and the Youth of the World Federation of Overseas Cypriots (NEPOMAK) in fields of common interest.

Among others, the Memorandum provides for granting scholarships for postgraduate programmes and PhDs of the CING Cyprus School of Molecular Medicine, cooperation for the development and implementation of projects and other activities.

As well as pursuing opportunities with a view to use local, European and international funds, and the enhancement of the scientific cooperation between scientists/doctors and academics of the CING/CSMM and scientists/doctors and academics of the Cypriot Diaspora.
