Government having second thoughts about relaxation measures

According to information from the Presidential Palace, the government is having second thoughts about the opening of restaurants and the return to students to schools, with the best-case scenario including “intermediate solutions.”

The government’s sudden decision yesterday not to proceed with announcements about relaxations of measures citing the increased number of COVID-19 confirmed cases and to postpone any decision-making for Friday, has caused the reaction of restaurant owners and gym trainers. Restaurant owners were threatening to lift the restrictions unilaterally while the gym owners left the keys to their training centers on the fence of the Presidential Palace, sending a clear message to the government.

According to Phileleftheros information, the decision was a surprise to the Ministers themselves since they were certain about what would be decided.
