The Cyprus police shared a video message on Monday via Twitter calling on the public to keep adhering to measures placing special emphasis on medical professionals who need time to care for Covid-19 patients admitted to hospitals.
“We have a responsibility towards our fellow human beings and towards society in general.
“At this difficult time we are going through, we stay at home. We limit our movements to what is absolutely necessary for our survival. We protect us and those around us this way.
“We limit the spread of the virus and give doctors and nurses time to take care of those who are already ill.
“Police are on the streets for everyone’s safety,” the video advised.
