A German tourist is in intensive care after she lost consciousness while swimming in the Geroskipou area on Monday afternoon.
She was spotted by another swimmer who called for help.
Lifeguards brought the 69 year old woman to shore and used a defibrillator. She regained consciousness and was taken to Paphos Hospital where her condition is described as critical.
