Four Covid-19 patients in Cyprus lost their lives over the past week, including a 49-year-old man, according to latest data released on Friday by the Health Ministry.
At the same time, 2,422 new infections were recorded in the same week, that is from May 6 to 12, with the positivity rate standing at 0.97 per cent.
The total number of coronavirus fatalities since the start of the pandemic now stands at 1,051, the data also shows.
The total number of rapid and PCR tests carried out between May 6-12 was 250,791.
And the overall number of Covid-19 tests carried out since Thursday is 486,086.
