President Nicos  Anastasiades on Thursday afternoon laid the foundation stone for the building of the School of Management, Tourism, Hospitality and Entrepreneurship of the Cyprus University of Technology (TEPAK) in Paphos.

And the coastal city’s local authorities more than welcomed the upcoming grand development, Philenews reports.

In fact, Paphos mayor Phedon Phedonos described the moment as historic.

“In just 124 days since the start of works we have now reached the 4th floor of the building and in 11 months this will be totally completed,” he said.

“Moreover, adjacent to TEPAK – in another block –  235 residences will be built for students with an affordable rent of 300 euros,” he added.

The mayor thanked both the President and the Bishop of Paphos and ecclesiastical committee for playing a much-needed positive role in the achievements of the day.

The church in Paphos had granted 2,500 square meters of excess construction rate for the building and the student housing, he added.
