Foreign Ministry official tests positive

A Foreign Ministry official has tested positive for coronavirus and the building has closed down so that it can disinfected.

CyBC said that the diplomat had not been working at the office but had visited to deliver documents, coming into contact with four people who have been tested.

Meanwhile, by 1 pm on Thursday, a total of 12,651 Cypriots who are abroad had registered on the Foreign Ministry’s portal connect2cy.  They are scattered in 100 countries, but most are in the UK, Greece, Germany, the Netherlands and the US. About 60% are students.
