Police carried out 715 checks and booked 5 premises and 10 individuals all across Cyprus over the past 24 hours for non-compliance with measures aiming to contain the spread of Covid-19.
The majority of fines concerned the non-use of a protective mask.
Specifically, police carried out 80 checks and reported 7 individuals and 2 premises in Nicosia, the capital.
In Limassol, 227 checks were carried out with no reports being made.
In Larnaca, 1,179 checks were carried out and 1 premise was reported.
In Paphos, 88 checks led to the report of 3 premises.
In Famagusta, 95 checks were carried out and 3 individuals were reported.
In Morphou, 46 checks were carried out with no reports being made.
Additionally, 30 checks were carried out in entry ports of the Republic with no reports being made.
However, two individuals were found with no “CyprusFlightPass” passes upon arrival at Larnaca airport.
