Firefighters have responded to two fires that broke out on Monday,
The first is in Makounta Paphos which firefighters from the fire department and the forestry department have contained.
The fire service said that the fire was contained within half an hour.
The second is at the Kalo Chorio firing range near Ayia Anna where firefighters are being assisted by one water dropping aircraft.
Fire department spokesman Andreas Kettis said that the fire broke out at 10.30 am and has burnt one hectare of dry grass and wild vegetation.
He said that firefighters were trying to contain the blaze within the range until it is extinguished.
