The Fire Services have posted a video of the rescue of a driver who became stranded when he tried to drive across a large stream along with advice urging everyone to properly assess risk before acting.
It said that the driver was rescued by fire fighters from the Polis Chrysochous and the Stroumbi rural fire stations using ropes and special equipment.
The driver ran into difficulty when trying to cross a stream with fast moving water near the village of Miliou in the Paphos district.
