During the three days of the morning of 8 October 2021 until the morning of 11 October 2021, the Fire Service responded to 59 fires and also to 101 calls for help, 35 special services and seven false calls. These calls include the case of the rapid test unit in Kiti that was on fire.
Early in the morning the Fire Service received a call about a fire at the external area of a laboratory where rapid tests are being carried out. The fire was on the wooden pergola and the plastic equipment and the causes are being investigated.
Furthermore, early this morning, a fire broke out at a motorcycle at the parking are of Agios Georgios Kontos in Larnaca. Due to the fire, the motorcycle had extended damage.
Finally later today the Fire Service received a call for a fire at a vehicle that was parked on the pavement in Limassol. The car was greatly damaged. The causes will be investigated at a later stage.
