A fire broke out behind a residential area in the Anthoupolis village area in Nicosia today burning wild vegetation.
According to the Fire Department spokesperson Andreas Kettis, homes located in the area have been protected from the fire.
However, a makeshift establishment in which compressed gas cylinders were stored was affected.
Two fire trucks from Nicosia stations accompanied by their crews are trying to extinguish the fire.
