A fire broke out at an apartment on the first floor of a building in Lakatamia this afternoon. Members of the Police and of the Fire Service responded to the call. The residents of the building evacuated their flats. The Fire Service managed to save a young man who had been trapped in his apartment.
The Fire Service will investigate the cause of the fire at a later stage in cooperation with the Police.
