A fire that broke out around 14.00 today at a church in Pedoulas is currently under control.
According to the Fire Service spokesman Andreas Kettis, a vehicle of the Forestry Department that arrived at the scene first, managed to put the fire out.
Part of the iconostasis has been burned and there have been damages to the church due to the smoke.
The causes of the fire will be investigated.
