The police have been asked to take strict action against any violations of additional restrictive measures against the spread of Covid-19 to come in effect in Cyprus as of Wednesday.
Even though fines against businesses/owners of restaurants and bars violation the law against the coronavirus pandemic are already stiff enough, according to Philenews.
As of Wednesday, an additional measure comes in effect – that of banning unvaccinated individuals from all indoor and outdoor stadiums, theatres amphitheaters cinemas, restaurants and pubs including those at malls and all entertainment venues.
For citizens caught without a SafePass, the fine imposed is 300 euros.
At the same time, owners of catering and other mass gathering places allowing entry to citizens without a SafePass will be confronted with fines based on the premises’ square meters.
In particular:
⦁ 50 sq. metres – €500 fine
⦁ 51 sq. metres to 100 sq. meters – €750 fine
⦁ 101 sq. metres to 200 sq. metres – €1,500 fine
⦁ 201 sq. metres to 500 sq. metres – €4,000 fine
⦁ 501 sq. metres and above – €8,000 fine
