Fine start with showers later as unsettled weather continues

Wednesday will be mainly fine but increased cloud on the coasts, particularly in the west and north, will lead to scattered showers and or thunderstorms as the unsettled weather continues.

Clouds which will develop later in the day, mainly inland, the east and south coasts and the mountains may lead to scattered showers and thunderstorms. Thunderstorms will be accompanied by hail.

Temperatures will be 20 C inland, the south and east coasts, around 19 C on the west and north coasts and around 8 C in the mountains.

Tonight will be mainly fine, but there will be cloud at intervals mainly on the west and north coasts. Temperatures will fall to 8 C inland, around 9 C on the south and east coasts, around 10 C on the west and north coasts and 3 C in the mountains.

Thursday will start off mainly fine but clouds which develop at midday and in the afternoon are expected to lead to scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the mountains, inland and in the southeast. Hail is likely.

On Friday and Saturday, intervals of sunshine will alternate with increased cloud which at midday and in the afternoon are expected to lead to scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. Thunderstorms are most likely to be accompanied by hail.

Temperatures are expected to remain at the same levels over the three days which are a little below average for the time of year.
