There are currently 28 patients being treated at Famagusta General Hospital, the referral hospital for coronavirus, following the admission of two more patients on Sunday.

More are expected today, the Cyprus News Agency reports.

It said that three patients have recovered and are awaiting the results of the final confirmatory tests today before being discharged. They will remain in house isolation for 14 days.

There are four patients in the increased care unit. One of them, an 80 year old man with underlying conditions, is described as being in critical condition.

Another patient, a woman, developed complications earlier today and may be transferred to another hospital, the news agency added.

Yesterday the Health Ministry said 15 people have recovered. Ten are in intensive care. Cyprus has a total of 179 confirmed Covid-19 cases. Five people, four men and one woman, have died.
