Police are looking into the circumstances under which a 69-year-old female tourist suffered several injuries, including a fractured spine, after the surprise fall of a trimmed tree in Paralimni.
Philenews reports that the pedestrian on Wednesday afternoon was hit by the tree which a worker doing gardening work in the area had cut down with an electric trimmer, in such a degree that it fell on her.
Famagusta District Police are investigating whether the necessary safety measures had been taken.
