Extremely hot on Wednesday with an orange alert for very high temperatures in effect till 6pm issued by the Meteorology Office.
Winds will be variable, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort over smooth to slight sea waters.
The maximum temperature will rise to 44 degrees Celsius inland, 35 C in the mountains and the west coast and 37 C to 39 C in other coastal areas.
The fire hazard is extremely high, according to the Forestry Department.
