There was a a loud explosion at a restaurant in Strovolos, Nicosia, a little after 6 am on Friday which police said was due to an explosive device.
The restaurant is situated between K-Cineplex Strovolos and Ayia Sophia church. The blast damaged the glass door.
There were no injuries.
Police said they were investigating a case of destruction of property with explosives
