The entire staff of the Larnaca Hospital will undergo Covid testing in the next 48 hours after a patient, a nurse and a doctor tested positive to the virus, the CNA reports.
Sample-taking from the staff started at 8 am on Sunday and will be completed by Tuesday morning with priority given to the most suspect cases.
Okypy spokesman Charalambos Charilaou told Phileleftheros yesterday that staff across all the island’s public hospitals will be tested for the virus, amounting to about 6,500 healthcare workers.
Charilaou said that the process would start today, Sunday, and is estimated to conclude by the end of the coming week.
