An electrical appliance short circuit caused a fire just after eight last night at a home in Chloraka, Paphos.
There was extensive damage to the interior, but no one was injured as residents managed to get out in time.
The fire service put out the fire before spreading to the whole house and its preliminary investigation showed the blaze to have been caused by an electrical appliance short circuit.
