Eight people were injured, two of them seriously, in a road accident on the Nicosia-Limassol highway on Saturday morning.
The accident, which occurred around 6.30 am when a small truck collided with a car near Kotsiatis, led to the temporary closure of the motorway as first responders worked to free three people trapped in one of the vehicles.
Two of them were seriously injured and taken to hospital. The other six suffered minor injuries.
