The Health Ministry reported on Wednesday eight deaths from COVID, 2,499 new cases and 224 hospitalisations.
Total deaths rose to 724, total cases are now 243,818 and the positivity rate stands at 2.71%.
A total of 92,276 tests were carried out today (rapid and PCR).
Of the 724 deaths 450 are male (62.2%) and 274 female (37.8%) and the median age is 76.2 years.
The Ministry said that 75 patients are in serious condition or in an ACU of whom 34 are intubated, four are in ICU and 37 in ACUs.
