Limassol district court on Wednesday ordered a 39 year old man remanded in custody for eight days as police pursue their inquiries following the discovery of 10 kilos of cannabis in his warehouse.
The cannabis was found in two packages that had been sent from abroad. The suspect, who runs a transport company, denies any involvement and said the packages were intended for the recipient to which they were addressed.
His lawyer did not object to the remand.
A woman employee who had also been arrested on Tuesday was released on the same day after nothing incriminating emerged against her.
