Unions at the electricity authority will stage a two hour work stoppage on October 24 to protest violations of their collective agreement and express disagreement with strategic decisions being taken by the board.
The stoppage — from 7.30 am to 9.30 am will not affect electricity supply, they clarified.
The decision was taken by the leadership of the four EAC unions.
They said that industrial action may escalate depending on developments.
