Larnaca district court on Tuesday fined a 21 year old man €500, suspended his driving licence for 10 days and penalised him with three points on his licence for speeding.
The young man was caught driving at 178 km per hour on the Nicosia-Larnaca highway, near Koshi at 9 am on Tuesday morning. The speed limit on the highway is 100 km per hour.
He was arrested and taken to Larnaca police station. From there he was taken to Larnaca district court for an immediate hearing of his case.
