Down to 33C today with strong winds in areas, clear skies on election day

Temperatures will be dropping to the average for this time of year over the next few days, with a low pressure system affecting the area.

Fine skies throughout, with increasing low cloud locally at intervals.

Winds will be light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly, force three to four and in windward coastal regions, moderate to strong force four to five and in the afternoon over southeastern coastal areas, very strong force six, over slight seas to moderate seas in windward regions and moderate in southeastern areas.

Temperatures will rise to 33 degrees Celsius inland, 26 in western coastal areas, 29 in the rest of the coastal regions and 25 over the mountains.

Clear skies early this evening, but later thin mist or low cloud is expected in the eastern half of the island, mostly near coastal areas.

Winds will be light southwesterly to northwesterly and locally variable force three and initially in windward regions, moderate force three to four over calm to slight seas and slight in western and northern areas.

Temperatures will drop to 16 degrees Celsius inland, the western and northern coastal areas, 18 in the rest of the coastal regions and 14 on the mountains.

Clear skies tomorrow, election day and through to Tuesday, turning cloudy at intervals, with thin mist and low cloud in the evening and mist in the eastern half of the island.

Temperatures will remain near the seasonal average.
