Declining trend recorded in all Covid-19 indicators in past 14 days

As of Thursday, the total number of Covid-19 cases in Cyprus reached 327,560 but a declining trend in all indicators of the contagious virus is recorded in the past two weeks.

The Health Ministry’s latest 14-day national epidemiological report released on Friday shows that out of 27,414 cases (99.1%) with relevant information 2.5% (n = 680) were cases with a recent travel history. And that 97.5% (n = 26,734) were cases of domestic transmission.

Specifically, out of the confirmed cases of Covid-19 recorded between February 15-28:

The median age was 31 years (Intra-quartile range: 14-46 years), 53.6% were women (n = 12,163), 46.4% were men (n = 10,513) – of the 22,676 cases (81.9%) with relevant information available.

The cumulative incidence of 14 days of COVID-19 (diagnosed cases of 14 days per 100,000 inhabitants) is 3,116.

On March 2, 2022, 142 patients with active Covid-19 were hospitalized and based on those registered, discharged or transferred).
