Cyta suspends disconnections to June 30, doubles mobile internet for all its clients

Cyprus Telecommunications Authority (CYTA) announced on Friday that to support its clients during the Covid-19 emergency it is suspending disconnections due to unpaid bills until June 30, 2020.

In addition, from April 1 it will double the mobile data for three months for all its clients with mobile contracts (RED, Classic, MakeYourOwn, Mobile Wi-Fi, VMB, Youth), so-easy customers (soeasy Plus/Youth) and by purchasing a Mobile Internet package.

From April 1 it will also double the speed for the FREEDOM and FREEDOM Plus plans for a period of three months. 

The announcement noted that there would be no additional charges for a period of three months for customers stranded in the EU and have exceeded their roaming limits.

For Cytavision, it was said that content will be enriched free of charge for Nova on Demand and Disney on Demand that are part of Variety and Super Pack plans.

For Cytavision Value Pack subscribers, they will have access from April 1 and for three months with no extra charge to the movie channels Village Cinema HD, Movies Best HD Nova Life, and Disney’s children’s film collection. 

The CytavisionGo service will be able to be viewed simultaneously on two devices for a period of three months.

In addition:

-Free installation for Cytavision until June 30

-Free installation and three months subscription to Cytavision Hotel Pack to hotels accommodating citizens in isolation (technical terms apply)

-Free installation of internet and landline telephony until June 30

-Option to freeze temporarily subscription to Cytavision Public Pack for the entire duration of the closure of businesses with the possibility to reactivate the service once restrictions are lifted

-Free business tools for three months that allow the continuation of business activities of customers (more information on www.cyta.com.cy/business)

-Free video-conference tools for three months (Microsoft Office 365, Business Cloud, VPN, Meet Me Conference)

DONATION TO HEALTH MINISTRY

Τhe Cyta Board of Directors announced on Thursday a €300,000 donation to the Ministry of Health, for the immediate procurement of ventilators and other equipment deemed essential for treating patients with COVID-19.

“Fully aware of the crucial nature of the present circumstances, Cyta is participating with all its might in the major Health battle in which the whole of Cypriot society is engaged. From the moment the coronavirus appeared in Cyprus, the Organisation has stood by the State, actively supporting the measures taken by the authorities to protect public health,” Cyta said in a press release.
