Cyprus will automatically recognise law diplomas from EU member state universities following approval by the Council of Ministers on Tuesday of a proposal tabled by the Ministry of Justice and Public Order.
Provided the diplomas are recognised by the relevant authority in the country where they had been issued, an official announcement also said.
The Bar Association’s jurisdiction to approve or reject law diplomas from whatever University or Institute stays the same, it added.
And nothing changes as regards law diplomas recognised by the Bar Association up until today.
