Relevant News

The Malta Invitational Games came to a close on Sunday, with Cyprus at the top of the medal table.

According to an announcement by the Cyprus Olympic Committee (KOE), the Cypriot delegation won 22 medals: twelve gold, three silver and seven bronze ones.

The Cypriot team consisted of 21 athletes: nine Tae Kwon Do athletes, eight Triathlon athletes and four Bowling athletes.

Around 100 athletes from 10 countries took part in the games, with host Malta having the largest delegation of athletes. Malta secured second place in the medal table.

Assessing the outcome, Patsalides, noted that all the objectives of the Cypriot mission were achieved. He said that, once again, the Cyprus Olympic Committee “deservedly” represented Cyprus in an international event fulfilling its role and mission. “We gave the opportunity to athletes and sports to have international participation and gain experiences,” he added.
