Relevant News

An international cyber-security company said a Cypriot company is involved in the electronic war that computers in Ukraine received a few hours before the Russian invasion. According to the Registrar of Companies, the said company, with headquarters in Nicosia, appears to belong to one and only person (director and secretary), while the telephone provided is not working.

The Police spoke of “misinformation” while the Deputy Minister of Innovation and Digital Policy had not been informed about the issue.

It is reminded that a newly discovered piece of destructive software found circulating in Ukraine had hit hundreds of computers, according to researchers at the cyber-security firm ESET, part of what Ukrainian officials said, was an intensifying wave of hacks aimed at the country.

The company said that the data wiping program had been installed on hundreds of machines in the country, an attack it said had likely been in the works for the past couple of months.
