Cyprus records trade deficit of about €400 million in February

Cyprus recorded a trade deficit of about €400 million in February 2018 an increase of 18.1% compared to February 2017, as shown by preliminary data released by the Cyprus Statistical Service on Tuesday.

On the basis of preliminary estimates for Cypriot foreign trade this February, total imports were €610.4 million, of which €410 million were imports from other EU member states and €200.4 million imports from third countries.

Total exports were €186.3 million of which €75.3 million were exports to other EU member states and €111 million exports to third countries.

According to the preliminary estimates the trade deficit was this February €424,055 compared to €385,985 in February 2017.
