Cyprus President still positive to Covid-19, won’t return to scheduled duties

Relevant News

President Nicos Anastasiades remains positive to Covid-19 and that’s why he is not going to return to his duties on Tuesday as earlier announced officially.

This is what government spokesman Marios Pelekanos said on Monday morning.

Pelekanos also said that health protocols allow the President to follow his schedule as normal in the next few days.

But the sense of responsibility of the President has prompted him not to resume public activities up until he is diagnosed negative to the virus.

At the same time, Tuesday’s meeting of the President with the Coordinating Committee of Communities of Vassilikos area is postponed.

In addition, at the opening ceremony on Tuesday afternoon of the World Congress of Cypriots in Diaspora, the President will be represented by the Interior Minister Nicos Nouris.
