Cyprus is one of the 14 EU and European Economic Area countries participating in a joint procurement agreement for a new COVID-19 vaccine, which is currently being developed as a booster vaccine.
The agreement was signed on Tuesday between HIPRA pharmaceutical company and Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Authority HERA.
Within the framework of this agreement, the participating countries will be able to purchase up to 250 million doses.
