Cyprus is the fifth most popular destination for Tui travellers to European destinations this summer, doing particularly well in the UK, Ireland, Sweden and Norway where it ranked third.
The other countries making up the top five are Spain, Greece, Turkey — which made a comeback this year — and Italy.
According to Tui’s bookings, UK and Irish tourists picked Cyprus third after Spain and Greece. The Swedes opted for Greece and Spain and then Cyprus, as did the Norwegians. Cyprus was the fourth pick for Danes after Greece, Spain and Turkey. Cyprus also made the top five among Swiss travellers, after Spain, Greece, Turkey and Italy.
