Cyprus has one of highest rates of volunteer blood donors

On the occasion of International Blood Donor Volunteer Day, Volunteer Commissioner Yiannis Yiannakis said that Cyprus has among the highest number of volunteer blood donors, when compared with other states in terms of population.

Among others, Yiannakis highlighted the vital importance of blood donation, describing it as an act of love and humanity. The Volunteer Commissioner also added that in Cyprus, voluntary blood donation is well established.
