Cyprus-Greece-Jordan tripartite meeting takes place in Amman

Relevant News

The Foreign Ministers of Cyprus, Greece and Jordan on Tuesday are participating at the 4th tripartite meeting in Amman in a bid to further develop relations between the three countries.

A press release in Nicosia said Foreign Minister Nikos Christodoulides, Greece’s Nikos Dendias and Jordan’s Ayman Al Safadi are preparing the ground for a trilateral Secretariat to operate soon in Cyprus.

And that developments in the Eastern Mediterranean region and the ongoing Turkish provocations as well as the Cyprus problem, Middle East issue, Syria and Libya and EU-Jordan relations are also on the agenda.

Nicosia has already sent the message that the role of Jordan in the wider Middle East, as a stabilizing agent and a credible EU partner, is very important.

And that there is a long tradition of harmonious coexistence between the different communities of Christians, Muslims and others comprising Cypriot society – just like in Jordan.
