Cyprus government launches COVID-19 website

The Cyprus government has announced the launch of a special website (www.covid19.cy)  where the decisions of the government aiming to limit the spread of the coronavirus, the decrees with the relevant restrictive provisions that have been issued and the instructions for movement by exception, will be posted so that people will be fully updated on efforts to address the coronavirus pandemic.

According to a press release issued by the Presidency, statistical data concerning the spread of the coronavirus in Cyprus, the number of positive cases, the number of people that have recovered as well as useful data about the gender, the age group per district/ municipality/ community will also be posted on the website.

The Presidency said that on the website can also be found important and very useful information concerning the measures and the programmes of the government regarding the protection and support of employees and vulnerable groups of people and the protection of businesses and the economy.

Additionally, information on the access to Health Services as well as on issues regarding Cypriots who are abroad and other measures aiming to support citizens will also be published.

It is further noted that answers are also given to frequent questions, while the website includes nine sections on reinforcing the protection network for employees, supporting businesses and enhancing liquidity, additional measures concerning financial issues, additional measures to support citizens, Cypriots who are abroad, long-distance learning, vulnerable groups and disabled people, access to health services, use of modern technologies.

The website will constantly be upgraded, according to any new decisions or measures taken by the government, the press release concludes.
