Cypriot patient transferred to Israeli hospital after special approval

A Cypriot patient was transferred by an air ambulance to an Israel hospital for urgent medical treatment on Saturday after special approval, amid flight restrictions as part of measures to curb the spreading of the coronavirus outbreak.

The transportation was announced by Israel’s Ambassador to Cyprus, Sammy Revel.

“Vital Israel – Cyprus solidarity in times of COVID-19. Jointly with the Cyprus Health Ministry, special approval was granted for an emergency air ambulance to fly a Cypriot patient, in need of urgent medical treatment, to Sheba Hospital in Israel. Wishing good recovery and health,” Revel said in a post on Twitter.
